Welcome to our 2025 CSA Flower Share

We are excited to have you join us this season. Our flower farm is a love letter to our community, and in turn, by supporting us, you get to take a little bit of that love home every week to enjoy. We are including a list of frequently asked questions about our flower share program.

What is a CSA Flower Share?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a way for farmers and consumers to connect directly without a middleman, and ahead of the growing season. In short: people buy "shares" of a farm's harvest in advance and then receive a portion of the crops as they're harvested, in our case flowers! Your purchase of a CSA flower share helps us tremendously with planning how much to grow, having capital to buy seeds and supplies in the winter, and reducing our marketing costs and time during our busy season. The CSA is a big part of our business. Thank you!

Are CSA shares discounted over regular Barn Shop bouquet prices?

Yes! As a special thank you for buying your share ahead of the season, our CSA shares are priced 10% lower than our bouquet prices in the Barn Shop, and our All Share Bundle represents a 20% savings!  So, when you buy a share(s) ahead of the season, you save money!  Additionally, when we experience bumper crops, we often give extra bunches to our CSA members! We consider you our VIP customers!

What can I expect in my flower CSA share each week?

Every week, our farmers walk the fields together and decide what is best to harvest for our flower shares. We will send a weekly newsletter to our members sharing stories from the farm and details about what will be in the shares. On pick up day, our designers create our bouquets using ingredients harvested within 24 hours from our fields. The value of each share is a weekly average of the total share cost.

Where do I pick up my flowers each week?

Pick up days and times to be announced later this winter.  Pick up is always in the Barn Shop at Cross Street Flower Farm on 4 Jacobs Lane in Norwell. Pick up times will be announced prior to the start of each share, but are usually during Barn Shop Hours - Tuesday to Saturday 9-2 and Thursdays 9- 7 pm.

I received my share as a gift. When will it start?

We will send an email approximately two weeks prior to the start of the share to confirm the start date of the share and pick-up days/times. The start date for our shares is approximate based on the weather, especially in the Spring.

Weekly Newsletter/Communications

Once the share begins, we will send an email every week to remind you to pick up your share. If you are not receiving our emails two weeks prior to the start of your share, please email us at info@csflowerfarm.com. Also, please be sure to add info@csflowerfarm.com to your contacts so our emails do not go to your junk folder. Thank you!

What if I am on vacation for one week?

We encourage you to send a friend or family member to pick up your flowers while you are away. Everyone loves flowers! We will allow a 1-time courtesy vacation week, when you return you can arrange with the team in the Barn Shop to pick up an extra bouquet or bunch.

How do I best care for my flowers to make them last the longest?

We typically harvest your flowers within 24 hours of pick-up days. Our flowers typically last about a week, but some varieties have shorter or longer vase life. We recommend that you place your bouquet in a clean vase, with clean water. Change the water every morning when you have your coffee. Be sure to remove all leaves and extra foliage below the water line. Only stems should be in the water to keep it clean. Keep your vase out of direct sunshine and in a cool spot.
