If you haven’t gotten on board the Celosia train already, now is the time!!! This crop is absolutely gorgeous this year, and super long-lasting in the vase, also dries very well. Celosia is a heat-loving crop that thrived in the hot, drought days of summer and our sandy soil.
Celosia, also called Indian paintbrush, is one of our favorite late summer and fall crops. We grow mostly the feather style, plume varieties of Celosia, and have found our favorite shades in pastels. They add texture to our bouquets but we love them by the bunch too. Especially the Supercrest, Sunday, and Texas plume varieties. Colors are first come, first serve.
